New to IF - we are currently living in a hotel and eating out pretty often. It is a great opportunity to get to know the local restaurants. O'Bradys is the typical old-time diner. Think Flo's diner and if you don't remember who that was, or would not have eaten in that diner...this place is probably not for you. OK, Now that the food snobs are gone, it is a pleasant place. Good, hot food, I had the roast beef sandwich without the bread because I saw it come to another table before I ordered, and I knew I would never be able to eat that much food. My husband ordered a steak special and mashed potatoes that the waitress told us are homemade. His steak was cut thin but fairly large. It was cook as ordered, medium, tender and juicy. Coming from states where wait-staff start start at minimum wage and are given raises over time I will always mention this in ID reviews. Waitresses are paid between $3-$4/hr whether they have customers or not. At O'Bradys we tipped well, because we had a very attentive and friendly waitress. Excellent service.

Fantastic! Menu selection is excellent, service is phenomenal and food is out of this world! Be sure to get the ice cream sundae; it will not disappoint.

Our waitress was super sweet and very accommodating, answering all our questions with a smile. The food was good diner type food. I had a philly and fries and my husband had fish and chips. The coffee flowed freely and the place was full of the elderly, which tells you that the food isn't awful and it can't cost much.

We do not like "American food" in general. But the kids like it and we did not insist. We were tried at the end of the day after several hikes. We got a decent surprise. The food is moderately priced. We ordered several items. One was a baked Idaho trout, which was better than expected. The place is less than clean. The service was slightly slower than normal. Our server tried harder than normal. Our food is slightly above than average, which means good for us at the time. Not too greasy. No alcohol is served.

The biscuts are flimsy, however the food is good overall.I, personally, would suggest toast or bacon if you get the chance with your meal of choice.

There's a few decent dishes here. But it's hit and miss most the time. I'm not overly impressed with the food. Most of the staff is friendly enough but there are a couple ladies working in there that scare the hell out of me. One I'm fairly certain is a meth head she made my nephew cry when she came to take our order. When I asked him why he was crying he said "Because she's scary looking!"The other lady is just plain mean. The interior of the place needs a major overhaul to even be moderately presentable. I don't bother using the bathroom even if I have to go. Because it's a nasty bathroom!

It is right off the freeway coming from Montana. From the outside it looks like an experienced restaurant. With the name O'brady's I was hoping for some corned beef. Not on the menu, no big deal. The inside has seen better days and the restrooms were tired, but clean. I got a hamburger and my wife ordered pork chops. I got a dish of mayo for my burger and it had the clear gunk that forms on top when it is left out to long. EWW. The gravy came from a can and the potatoes from a box and I am pretty sure the pork chops were pre-breaded and pre-cooked. We didn't get sick from eating the food so it probably won't kill you. That is a plus. The waitresses were indifferent but nice enough. My suggestion is find another place to eat when cruising through town.

This is where I go for weekend breakfast in Idaho Falls. It's always a toss up between O'Brady's and Mitchell's but O'Brady's wins. The portions are huge and the service is friendly. The decor is old. Like really old. Like kind of falling apart and maybe you don't want to move too quickly because your booth might collapse old. WHICH IS WHY I LOVE IT. The food is what you'd expect, pretty regular stuff. Every plate is garnished with greenery and a bit of fresh orange. Just so you know you're somewhere special.

Old buildings, crazy regulars, and interesting staff. How could you go wrong? With such and amazing location you would think this place would be booming. But put those three things together most people get scared away. Scary eats always attract me. Either the food will be something straight from the toilet bowl or an amazing delicatessen that all the owners care about is food an not the atmosphere. O'bradies falls in the middle. The food is not all that amazing. Its not that too bad either. But damn you get a huge plate of food. If this place tasted a little bit better it would be a easy 5 star. I like it when restaurants give you a full plate of food and not try to skimp.

This place really surprised me. From the outside it looks like it's going to be a Denny's type restaurant. Wait--the inside does too! Well anyway, we were hungry and their seems to be a lack of restaurants in the area, so there you have it. We all ordered and were served massive portions of food. My salad was so large in fact that not only was I unable to finish it, it was falling out of the bowl they crammed it in. I definately didn't need the biscuit and gravy I ordered along with it! This place was not so impressive that I would drive all the way to Idaho Falls for it, but considering that we didn't see much else and it was right on the highway, it was pretty decent.

My food was ok, nothing special but not terrible. The inside needs updated and repaired. They need Chef Robert Irvine to come do a Restaurant Impossible make-over. My poor short little old Grandma sunk down in the booth so far that she looked like a small child sitting there. There was hardly any room to put a high chair. I will say that the books that they have at each table are pretty funny to read while waiting.

2 stars is overly generous.Beware sarcastic old waitress.Food was overly long in coming to the table.Over 30 min.Served with a side order of attitude. This is a strong non-recommendation!!

I don't live in Idaho Falls anymore, but I used to come here quite regularly when I did, and always visit when I'm in town. It's a cute coffee house :-) They have great coffee and food, decent prices, a wonderful, friendly staff, and lively regulars that always make the place quite interesting. It's got free wifi and a comfortable, relaxed environment, and has a nice location (right off the I-15, and real close to highway 20). It's a breath of breath of fresh air to the normal blandness and crappy service you expect from the dime-a-dozen franchises like Dennys.
